This setting adds specific metadata to your images that signals they can or cannot be used for Artifical Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) training.
This metadata follows an accepted standard and helps prevent your images from being scraped or analyzed for data mining purposes.
- The setting inserts specific tags into the image metadata to clearly define how the image can (or cannot) be used.
- This ensures AI systems respect your preference to block data mining.
ShortPixel uses the following XMP metadata values:
- DMI-PROHIBITED – Prevents your image from being used for data mining, including AI training.
- DMI-PROHIBITED-EXCEPTSEARCHENGINEINDEXING – Prevents data mining but allows search engines to index the image.
- DMI-ALLOWED – Allows your image to be freely used for data mining and AI/ML training.
