No, it won’t work.
ShortPixel Adaptive Images (SPAI) only works with publicly accessible websites. That is, images that do not require a user and password to be seen. Possible solutions are:
- If you just want to run some tests with SPAI, you could temporary disable the protection.
- An alternative is to whitelist ShortPixel IPs so that the images can be accessed without user and password. Check out here our IPs.
Also, remember that you can use ShortPixel Image Optimizer (SPIO) if you just want to have the images optimized. SPIO has the option to access images on password protected websites.
