Modula and ShortPixel are integrated using Modula’s Speed Up extension. This means that you can let ShortPixel optimize your Modula images by just enabling a couple of settings on Modula’s setting.
Please see how to install the Modula’s Speed Up extension by following this article: Modula Speed Up Extension
Once you activate Modula’s optimization feature, your domain will be automatically associated internally, based on the image URL, with Modula’s ShortPixel account. If you want to associate it to your ShortPixel account to use your own credits, please send us an email and we will do it for you.
If you are already using ShortPixel Image Optimizer (SPIO) or ShortPixel Adaptive Images (SPAI), your images may get blurry, as you could be using double-compression without noticing it. Check out these articles to see how to solve this:
- I don’t like how some images look, how can I restore or re-optimize them?
- Picture quality issues when using ShortPixel
Also, unlike SPAI, Modula doesn’t serve adaptive images, so it can’t fix the “Properly size images” issue on GTmetrix or PageSpeed Insights. To solve it, you can give SPAI a try, and make sure you disable the image optimization in Modula first.
