Moreover, you can also deliver them to compatible browsers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/shortpixel.com\/knowledge-base\/article\/how-to-serve-webp-files-using-spio\/\" rel=\"noopener\">How to serve WebP files using SPIO<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/kb.shortpixel.com\/knowledge-base\/article\/how-to-create-and-serve-avif-files-using-shortpixel-image-optimizer\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"738\">How to serve AVIF files using SPIO<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have your own WebP\/AVIF files and want ShortPixel to deliver them, you just need to do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enable one of ShortPixel&#8217;s local WebP\/AVIF delivery options. For that, go to your ShortPixel dashboard and then to Settings > ShortPixel > WebP\/AVIF &amp; CDN. For example:<br><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"375\" class=\"wp-image-1574\" style=\"width: 300px;\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.shortpixel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/file-d4MutSedgU.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Caveats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you do not have the original file (JPG, PNG or GIF), ShortPixel will ignore the WebP\/AVIF file you uploaded. In other words, you must have the original file next to the WebP\/AVIF file if you want to use ShortPixel\u2019s delivery features.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have enabled the WebP\/AVIF file creation (different from \u201cdelivery\u201d), and have not yet optimized your WebP files, and have uploaded your own files, ShortPixel will see an existing .webp or .avif file when optimizing your files and therefore create a .jpg.webp or .jpg.avif to avoid overwriting the file you have already uploaded. For that reason, we recommend to simply <strong>turn off the &#8220;Create WebP Images&#8221; \/ &#8220;Create AVIF Images&#8221; options<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, with some caveats.
