How can I solve it?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">JPG\/PNG served instead of WebP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ShortPixel Image Optimizer (SPIO) includes an option to deliver WebP images to all compatible browsers. You can find this setting in your WordPress dashboard under <em>Settings > ShortPixel > WebP\/AVIF &amp; CDN<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Safari supports WebP only from version 14 (or iOS 14)<\/strong> onward. If Safari 13 or lower is detected, SPIO will serve the original image instead of the WebP version. However, we\u2019ve received reports that having Safari 14+ isn\u2019t always enough to ensure WebP support. If you\u2019re experiencing issues, check the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your Safari version is 14 or higher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The &#8220;Serve WebP\/AVIF images from locally hosted files (without using a CDN)&#8221; option is enabled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WebP versions of your images have been created by enabling the &#8220;Create WebP Images&#8221; option and optimizing the images.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If that\u2019s not enough and you still see the original image (JPG\/PNG\/GIF) instead of the WebP version, <strong>we recommend enabling the &#8220;Deliver the next generation images using the ShortPixel CDN&#8221; option<\/strong>, which should resolve the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"525\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.shortpixel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-20250121_110518-1024x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1602\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kb.shortpixel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-20250121_110518-1024x525.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/kb.shortpixel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-20250121_110518-300x154.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kb.shortpixel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-20250121_110518-768x394.jpg 768w, https:\/\/kb.shortpixel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-20250121_110518-360x185.jpg 360w, https:\/\/kb.shortpixel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-20250121_110518.jpg 1503w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Image doesn&#8217;t show up at all<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your images disappear when the &#8220;Serve WebP\/AVIF images from locally hosted files (without using a CDN)&#8221;\u00a0option is enabled, there could be a few reasons why this feature isn\u2019t working:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.shortpixel.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/file-Krtos4VHk6.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your browser has cached old versions of your images. Clear your browser cache using this tool: <a href=\"https:\/\/clear-my-cache.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/clear-my-cache.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p>You\u2019re using a CDN that isn\u2019t compatible with the &#8220;Without altering the page code (via .htaccess)&#8221; delivery method (<a href=\"https:\/\/shortpixel.com\/knowledge-base\/article\/delivering-webp-images-via-htaccess\/\" rel=\"noopener\">more information<\/a>). If this method was previously enabled in ShortPixel\u2019s settings, your CDN may have cached the .webp versions of images. As a result, these WebP images are now being served to all browsers, including Safari 13 or lower, which doesn\u2019t support WebP.
