Version 5 or higher<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you have used ShortPixel Image Optimizer on your website and want to remove all the data<\/strong> associated with it, you need to do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. (Optional<\/strong>) Only if you want to restore your original images, go to Settings <\/em>> ShortPixel <\/em>> Tools<\/em>, click on “Bulk Restore<\/strong>” and follow the instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Remove the ShortPixel backup<\/a> folder located at \/wp-content\/uploads\/ShortpixelBackups\/<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Go to Settings <\/em>> ShortPixel <\/em>> Tools<\/em>, click on “Remove all ShortPixel Data<\/strong>” and follow the instructions.

  4. Remove the shortpixel_meta<\/code> and shortpixel_folders<\/code> tables from the database (if found). These tables contain your Custom media folders settings (Settings <\/em>> ShortPixel <\/em>> Processing<\/em>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Remove the plugin from the Plugins screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Version 4.22.10 or lower<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    The steps below are only valid if you are using an old version of ShortPixel Image Optimizer (<= 4.22.10)<\/section>\n\n\n\n

    1. (Optional<\/strong>) Before deactivating the plugin, go to Media <\/em>> Bulk ShortPixel<\/em>, click on “Bulk Restore Images<\/strong>” to restore your optimized images to the originals, and follow the instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Before deactivating the plugin, go to Media <\/em>>\u00a0Bulk ShortPixel,\u00a0<\/em>click on “Bulk Delete SP Metadata<\/strong>” and follow the instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Remove the ShortPixel backup<\/a> folder located at\u00a0\/wp-content\/uploads\/ShortpixelBackups\/<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Deactivate and uninstall the ShortPixel Image Optimizer plugin. Make sure that you uncheck<\/strong>\u00a0the option “Keep the ShortPixel settings on plugin deletion<\/em>“.

    5. Remove the\u00a0shortpixel_meta<\/code>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0shortpixel_folders<\/code>\u00a0<\/strong>tables from the database (if found).
